BMA survey finds racism rife in UK health sector
Racism is pervasive within medicine both at a personal and institutional level and this is having a direct impact on doctor
retention, according to a survey by the British Medical Association (BMA). It reveals that over three quarters (76 per cent)
of respondents experienced racism in their workplace on at least one occasion in the last two years. Of these, 17 per cent
experienced racist incidents on a regular basis.
