Equality Act 2010 and sex and gender reassignment discrimination

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) has set out to explain how the Equality Act 2010 works in practice. In a briefing entitled, “Protecting people from sex and gender reassignment discrimination”, it explains that in the Equality Act 2010, the protected characteristic of sex protects people from being discriminated against because of being a man or a woman, defined as a male or female of any age.
