QBE RE UNVEILS RESTRUCTURE

QBE Rehas unveiled a significant organisational restructure. The company said the move, which will see the business organised on product lines, will “further align and unify” the global structure of the business. QBE Re will now be divided into five product divisions comprising property, casualty, accident and health, specialty and life reinsurance. The new structure “is designed to respond to and better reflect current market dynamics and ensure the business remains relevant, influential and continues to provide high-quality service to existing and new clients and the broker community”, QBE Re said. Peter Wilkins has been appointed to the newly created role of chief underwriting officer to oversee underwriting performance, strategy and planning. As part of the new structure, a global product leader has been appointed for each of QBE Re’s lines of business.
