Duty to drunken customer
A woman who had been drinking heavily for some hours was injured by a car when walking home. She sued the driver and the club
where she had been drinking. Despite several refusals to serve her, and the offer of a courtesy bus or taxi to take her home,
the court found the club had breached its duty of care.
