ABI guidelines on disability

The Association of British Insurers (ABI) has issued draft guidelines (drawn up in conjunction with the Disability Rights Commission) for life and disability insurers. This is to assist them in compliance with the Disability Discrimination Act, whereby it is illegal to discriminate against disabled people in a number of areas including employment and the provision of goods, facilities and services.
