A draft bill aims to bring in compulsory third-party motor insurance early next year. At present less than a quarter of the
1.3mn drivers have voluntary coverage. Lithuania and Russia are the only countries in Europe where some level of third-party
coverage is not obligatory. Annual premium is forecast at around Litas350mn.
