Korean Air pays for Shanghai house damage

Following a Chinese court ruling, Korean Air has started paying compensation to families in Shanghai whose homes were damaged by the crash of an MD-11 cargo plane in 1999. It was ordered to pay between Yuan80,000 and Yuan120,000 (US$14,500) to each of 33 families; around 100 families have already received the agreed sums.
