Scope of asbestos industry regulations

A decision of the court of appeal in Shell Tankers UK Ltd and Another v Jeromson and Another held that the Asbestos Industry Regulations (SI 1931 No 1140) applied to the production of sealant paste for dry cleaning presses, and was not confined to processes or products made from raw asbestos. The regulations apply to any factory or workshop where the process involves the manipulation of asbestos.
