Drug addicts’ protection

An Australian federal court decision that drug addicts are entitled to the same antidiscriminatory protection as the disabled has raised questions. The decision in favour of a recovering heroin addict, discriminated against at the veterans’ club of which he was a member, concerns employers who foresee problems should they wish to sack someone taking drugs at work.
