£400,000 fine for electrician’s death
Doncaster council has been fined £400,000 for ‘disgraceful disregard’ of safety measures leading to the death of electrician
Michael Seiles. It was held to have ignored the most elementary safety precautions and failed to honour a promise, made in
1992 after the death of leisure centre manager Ian Todd, to spend £100,000 a year checking electrical systems.
