Dr Jim Swire and other members of victims’ families have called for a public inquiry to focus on why the bomb was placed, and why it was not prevented. They also want the inquiry to focus on the role of the intelligence services in handling warnings, and airport security proceedings. Other relatives have been reported as casting doubt on the prosecution’s ‘flawed’ evidence and the guilty verdict.
