The pandemic’s illicit market

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted virtually every aspect of our societies and, unfortunately, its effects continue. Perhaps less obvious is how the pandemic has impacted the illicit market for counterfeit goods. The pandemic has spawned a multi-million dollar industry of counterfeit Covid-related products, including drugs, medical devices and equipment, personal protective equipment, and even vaccination cards.
