It was possible, in an exceptional case, that multiple sclerosis could be caused by trauma when that trauma affected the brain
or spinal cord. In the case at issue the employer had allowed a lamp standard to fall on the claimant’s car. A separate hearing
ordered to investigate further into his injuries.
