Maternal claim over misdiagnosis
Apparently negligent failure of a nurse to identify pregnancy in a woman who would have opted for abortion so as to continue
in work gave no rise to a claim. It was held that a healthy child was an incalculable benefit and therefore it could not be
asserted that the mother’s losses outweighed this.
