Record number of car recalls
Some 1,377,300 cars were recalled last year, for attention to potentially dangerous defects, according to figures from the
Vehicle Inspectorate. The 148 recalls were also the highest ever and involved almost all manufacturers, ranging from £60,000
Maseratis to the largest, 620,000 Vauxhall Astras.
