Swiss banks’ holocaust settlement approved

A US District Court judge has approved a US$1.25bn settlement by Swiss banks of claims from Holocaust survivors and their families, prevented from withdrawing money they deposited before World War Two. Credit Suisse and UBS are among those banks that will thus free themselves from a huge class action suit.
