EC targets Microsoft

In a move that could cost Microsoft 10% of global revenues, the European Commission has extended antitrust investigations of Windows 2000 software to include server software. This follows a complaint from Sun Microsystems, alleging that Microsoft applied ‘a policy of discriminatory licensing between its competitors under a so-called friend-enemy scheme’.
