Focus: Post-pandemic work patterns represent seismic shift for property insurance market
Before the start of the UK’s lockdown in 2020, the number of people who routinely worked either full- or part-time from home
was about four million, roughly 14% of the national workforce. When Britain’s prime minister, Boris Johnson, issued the stay
at home order on March 23, 2020, that number rose dramatically, with 52% of the adult working population working from home,
compared to 31% working on company premises, and 17% not working, according to a recent survey.
