Mainland China, thesecond largest economy in the world today, is set to overtake the US and becomethe world’s largest economy by 2028. 1 Given the generalrecognition that intellectual property (IP) has a positive impact on economicactivity, it comes as no surprise that IP activity in mainland China hasexperienced significant growth, particularly so in the last decade.
