Chip slip injury award

A teacher who strained knee ligaments after slipping on a chip outside the school canteen has been awarded £55,000 in compensation. The teacher, who has been unable to return to work, fell down a ramp. The court said that the risk should have been foreseen and non-slip flooring should have been installed, and regularly cleaned. The teacher had worked at the school for 20 years.
