Tribunal awards increase

Tribunal awards have increased as from the start of February 2003. The Employment Rights (Increase of Limits) (No 2) Order 2002 covers the annual increase in tribunal awards. The main change is that the limit on the compensatory award for unfair dismissals has been increased from £52,600 to £53,500. Also, when calculating the basic award for unfair dismissal or a redundancy payment, the maximum amount of one week’s pay has been increased from £250 to £260.
