Chemicals used in St Paul’s cleanup

Health & Safety inspectors are to investigate chemicals used in cleaning the interior of St Paul’s Cathedral in London following skin complaints suffered by workers and ecclesiastic staff. Under suspicion is a latex-containing paste, Arte Mundit, used to act on the stone-work like a facial mud-pack. It is no longer used in museums as dangerous to sculpture.
