HMOs in arbitration suit

Suit in the US alleging that three of California’s largest health maintenance organizations (HMOs) are unlawfully forcing patients into the arbitration process to resolve disputes. The charge is that the HMOs failed to inform patients about binding arbitration clauses in its contracts, thus violating California law, and as a result, arbitration cannot be enforced.
