Nicotine in possible cancer link
A report in the Journal of Clinical Investigation entitled ‘Nicotine – Worse than we thought?’ suggests that nicotine and
its derivatives might promote cancer development and progression. Previously it was assumed that tar was the only carcinogen,
and nicotine the addictive element in cigarettes.
