No X-ray for fractured skull
A 51-year-old man who was discharged from hospital without an X-ray after his skull was fractured in an attack has been awarded
£1.78m damages. Further delays before x-ray and surgery resulted in epilepsy, memory loss, lack of coordination in his limbs,
60% loss of sight and physical scarring. He was left unable to drive, will never work again, and has to rely on carers and
therapists. Hospitals admitted there were errors in the treatment provided.
