EU measures to protect other road users
A voluntary package of measures to protect cyclists and pedestrians has been agreed by the EU and car manufacturers. Although
criticised as far weaker than the measures recommended by scientists after 22 years of tests, it has been defended because
as a voluntary code it could be agreed much sooner than any mandatory measures.
