Chernobyl injury persists

Dr Gordon Thompson of the Institute for Resource & Security Studies at Cambridge, Massachusetts, having carried out several studies for local authorities on aspects of the Sellafield plant over recent years, estimates that a direct hit by a passenger jet would release two-and-a-half times the radioactivity of Chernobyl over Britain, Ireland, mainland Europe and beyond.
