DVT guidance

The Department of Health is to issue guidelines on the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) to certain classes of passengers, including those with a history of thrombosis, stroke, cancer or surgery within the previous three months and women taking the pill or hormone replacement therapy. These should consult their doctor before flying and take additional precautions against immobility.
