Microsoft settlement
Microsoft has settled more than 100 private antitrust suits, promising US$1bn to 13,000 poor US schools in software, training
and technical support over a period of five years. The suits alleged Microsoft used its monopoly power to overcharge computer
buyers. All parties expressed satisfaction at the avoidance of long and costly litigation.
