Baxter agrees Spanish compensation

Baxter International has agreed payments of US$2.9mn to the families of 10 people who died after using its blood filters at dialysis clinics in Spain last year. Significantly larger claims are in preparation from the families of at least 51 other victims worldwide, many in the US.
