Decontamination of instruments
The Department of Health has published the results of a national survey of decontamination of surgical instruments, following
advice from SEAC (Spongiform Encephalopathy Advisory Committee) that effective decontamination is a key factor in preventing
person-to-person spread of vCJD as well as a key component to all surgical care.
