Enron’s problems target Dynegy, hit Andersen

Enron Corporation and 14 affiliated entities have filed for chapter 11 in US Bankruptcy Court in the Manhattan District Court, expected to produce the largest bankruptcy in US history. As part of its reorganisation process, Enron is seeking US$10bn from Dynegy, alleging breach of contract by its withdrawal from a merger agreement and also taking steps to prevent Dynegy from continuing with its acquisition of Enron’s Northern Natural Gas pipeline.
