Higher fines for noninsured employers
Minister for the environment Michael Meacher, speaking at a conference organised by law firm Vizards, Staples & Bannisters,
indicated that the government intends to raise fines for employers who fail to take out statutory liability insurance. The
time limit within which prosecutions can be brought will also be extended.
