German pharma firm loses EU trademark appeal

Stada Arzneimittel fails in attempt to overturn EUIPO Board of Appeal decision; court upholds Board of Appeal finding that no likelihood of confusion would occur between ‘Optimar’ and ‘Mar’ trademarks

The EU General Court has upheld a European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) finding of no likelihood of confusion in a trademark opposition case brought by German pharma company, Stada Arzneimittel AG.
