British Airways facing potential £800m data breach suit

Over 16,000 victims are taking action against airline for failure to prevent mass data breach in 2018; fine reduced by ICO but reduction ‘does not cover any compensation for victims of the breach’

British Airways’ 2018 customer data breach continues to rumble on as some 16,000 victims are seeking compensatory damages from the airline, making it the largest group-action personal data claim in UK history.
