Lord Woolf, currently Master of the Rolls, has been appointed Lord Chief Justice. Present incumbent Lord Bingham has been
appointed as senior Lord of Appeal in Ordinary (the most senior law lord). Lord Phillips of Worth Maltravers becomes Master
of the Rolls.
