Disability Rights Commission

The Disability Rights Commission, a new organisation (the majority of whose members are disabled) with similar powers to those of the Equal Opportunities Commission and the Commission for Racial Equality, has been set up. It will investigate and, where appropriate, bring action against employers infringing the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.
