AIOA reports less fatalities
The Aviation Insurance Offices’ Association (AIOA) annual report shows that while major hull losses in 1999 were at their
highest ever at US$985mn, passenger fatalities fell to half those of the previous year, down from 1,046 to 512. Combined hull
and liability losses came to US$1.8bn, down from 1998’s US$1.9bn.
