HIV a disability?

Settlement has prevented exploration at tribunal of what could become one of a number of claims. Supermarket manager Mark Hedley was given three months’ leave while undergoing treatment for HIV infection, but when he wanted to return to work found excuses being made to keep him away. The company said they feared customers and other staff would feel ‘uncomfortable’ in view of his condition.
