Covid-19 was understandably one of the main focal points during this year’s International Association for the Protection of
Intellectual Property’s (AIPPI) 2020 World Congress. Running to find seminar rooms, swiping press passes and the clinking
of glasses was a distant but fond memory of the past, as due to the global pandemic’s restrictions on travel bans and social
distancing, this year’s event was replaced by virtual networking, online panel sessions, discussions and roundtables.
