‘Harding’ helicopter claim fails

The claim for damages under the Fatal Accidents Act by the widow and mistress of Matthew Harding, alleging pilot ‘recklessness’, has been rejected on appeal with the decision of the High Court upheld. This means damages will be limited to £80,000, under the Vienna convention. However, both women benefited by many millions from the insurance millionaire’s will.
