£128,000 for council heating engineer
A former fitter and heating engineer who has mesothelioma has received compensation of £128,000. The man worked for a city
council and his job involved stripping asbestos from boilers and pipes. The council admitted it was negligent in failing to
provide proper protection in the 1960s and early 1970s.The council did not contest liability for his illness and settled out
of court.
