NHS pays £8.32mn in compensation in Scotland
The NHS is reported to have paid out £8.32mn in compensation in Scotland over the last 12 months,compared to £3.52mn for 1997–98.
The legal bill almost trebled to £1.8mn. The figures were released by the executive in answer to a parliamentary question.
