Woman sacked after cancer treatment

A woman who took time off from work for treatment for breast cancer and was later made redundant, has been awarded more than £17,000. The woman had worked as a deputy town council clerk for the local town council. The woman represented herself and won her case for unfair dismissal and breach of contract.
