Government announces new Compensation Bill

The recent Queen’s Speech included various pieces of legislation, notably a draft Bill to introduce a new offence of corporate manslaughter. It also mentioned legislation to combat discrimination in the provision of goods and services on the grounds of religion, as well as race, sex and disability, and confirmed that a single Commission for Equality and Human Rights would be established.
