XL Europe forms US liability unit in London

XL Europe has announced the formation of a new $50mn gross line US liability underwriting unit based in London. XL has appointed Glenn Burles, formerly the chief underwriting officer of Zurich Specialties London, to head this unit. He will lead a team of four specialists who will underwrite this book of business. Senior members of the new team are Neil Smith and Paul Tooley.
