Parents cannot sue over abuse claims

The Law Lords have ruled that a number of parents who were wrongly accused of abusing their children cannot sue the health care professionals who misdiagnosed the abuse. The case was dismissed because the health workers had a duty of care to the children, not the parents. The parents claimed that they suffered psychiatric damage and financial loss when their children were taken from them.
