Unfair dismissal but no racial discrimination

A teacher has lost her claim for racial discrimination but has won a claim for unfair dismissal. The teacher, a Mauritian-born Indian, claimed she had been discriminated against on the grounds of race, but the tribunal found there was no evidence to show she was treated less favourably than her white female colleagues. However, the tribunal said she should have been consulted when her post discontinued.
