CJEU hands down news snippets verdict

The Court of Justice for the EU (CJEU) has ruled that a law prohibitingsearch engines from using ‘snippets’ of news without
a publisher’s
authorisation, must be notified to the European Commission as it is a ‘technical
regulation’.
