E-cigarettes “could be just as bad as smoking cigarettes”

A study has suggested that in some ways using e-cigarettes could be just as bad as smoking cigarettes. E-cigarettes appear to trigger unique immune responses as well as the same ones triggered by regular cigarettes, according to new research published online in the American Thoracic Society’s American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. It is believed to be the first study of the harmful effects of e-cigarettes using sputum samples from human lungs.
